How to Schedule WhatsApp Messages in WASender
Set up a scheduled WhatsApp message with a connected device, contact group, delivery date and timezone in WASender Online.
Watch the workflow guide: Scheduled WhatsApp messages workflow guide (about one minute).
What scheduled messaging does
WASender lets you prepare a message for a contact group and choose a future delivery date and timezone. It is useful for appointment reminders, service updates and timely follow-ups that recipients expect. Start by choosing a plan that includes scheduled messaging.
Prepare the device and contact group
Sign in, connect your WhatsApp device and prepare the intended contact group. Keep test recipients in a separate group. A schedule cannot deliver successfully if its sending device is disconnected, its recipients are invalid or its allowance is exhausted.
If you are new to the product, complete the device connection steps before creating a schedule. The scheduled messaging feature page explains common business uses.
1. Open Create Scheduled Message
From the scheduled messages area, open the creation form. Enter a descriptive Scheduled Name, such as “Thursday appointment reminders”. This is a management label; write the actual customer message in the message field.
2. Select the sending device and receiver group
Choose the device that should send the message and select the intended receiver group. Review that group before scheduling. A group name is not enough to confirm that everyone in it should receive the same message. Remove duplicates, outdated numbers and people who have opted out.
3. Set delivery date, time and timezone
Enter the future delivery date and time, then choose the timezone explicitly. For an India-based campaign, verify the appropriate India timezone in the selector. If customers are in different regions, prepare separate groups and schedules where necessary.
Check the calendar date carefully around midnight and avoid assuming that your computer timezone is the one selected by the form. A small test scheduled a few minutes ahead is a useful way to verify the setup before a larger campaign.
4. Choose plain text or a saved template
Select the message type. For plain text, enter up to 1,000 characters. For a template message, choose an existing template. The plain-text field indicates that {name} can be used for the recipient name. Make sure contact names are present and test the rendered result before relying on personalization.
Keep the message specific: who is contacting the recipient, why it is relevant and what they should do next. Do not include account passwords or sensitive information. The message examples provide starting points; replace all bracketed placeholders before use.
5. Create and verify the schedule
Recheck the group, device, content, delivery time and timezone, then select Create Schedule. Open the scheduled message details to confirm what was saved. Monitor the device connection and review message logs after the scheduled time.
If a scheduled message does not arrive
Check the saved time and timezone first. Then confirm the device is connected, the recipient numbers include country codes and the subscription has sufficient allowance. Review the logs before creating another schedule so that you do not accidentally send duplicates.
Scheduling is not a guarantee of exact delivery or readership. Use a separate confirmation process for time-critical appointments. For immediate sends, follow the bulk messaging guide.
