Connect WhatsApp to WASender with a QR Code

Connect WhatsApp to WASender with a QR Code

Create a WASender device, scan its QR code through WhatsApp Linked Devices and check the connection before sending messages.

What you need

Have your WASender account, an active plan with an available device slot, and the phone that owns the WhatsApp number you want to connect. Use a number your business is authorized to operate. Keep your phone and computer connected to the internet during setup.

QR codes and session credentials provide access to a WhatsApp connection. Keep them private and scan only the connection page you opened from your own WASender account.

1. Create a device

Sign in and open the device area, then choose to create a device. Enter a descriptive Device Name, such as your business or support-team label, and the Phone Number with its country code. The creation screen also has a Webhook URL field for integrations; leave it empty unless you have a receiver you intend to use.

Select Create Now. Open the QR connection screen for that device. Device names help distinguish senders if your plan supports more than one connected number.

2. Open Linked Devices on your phone

In WhatsApp on the phone, open Menu or Settings and select Linked Devices. Choose Link a Device and use the phone to scan the QR code displayed in WASender. Complete any confirmation WhatsApp requests on your phone.

Do not share the QR image with another person or upload it to a public tutorial. If the code expires, refresh the connection process and scan the current code.

3. Confirm the connection

Wait for the Device Connected status in WASender. A device record on its own does not mean the WhatsApp session is connected. Check the displayed device and sender before preparing a campaign.

Send a small test to a number you control and verify the message on the receiving phone. Check that it came from the intended business number and that links and formatting are correct.

What to do next

Choose one workflow to test first: send a bulk message, schedule a message, or create a keyword auto reply. Each workflow depends on the selected device and your plan allowance.

If the QR code does not load

Check your internet connection and refresh the device connection page. If the screen reports that the server is disconnected, contact support with the time and the visible error message. Never send a password, QR code or session token as part of a support screenshot.

If the device disconnects later

Review WhatsApp Linked Devices on the phone and the device status in WASender. Reconnect the intended device if necessary, then test before retrying customer messages. Inspect the existing logs so that a retry does not repeat messages that already went out.

Compare current plans and device limits. Device connectivity, recipient permission and relevant content all matter; connecting a number does not guarantee delivery or exemption from WhatsApp requirements.
